RGV gets back at the media with his hi-res closeups of nostrils and face pores. The camera shakes like a seismograph during an earthquake. Neetu Chandra manages to do her bit to reduce the costume budget, while the others practice their deadpan expressions. Amidst all this, the BigB manages to give a 10min speech in the end.

Vishal bardwaj's protege Abhishek Chaubey delivers an intriguing potboiler with Vidya Balan in her strongest role till date. Arshad Warsi and Naseerudin Shah fill in with well etched roles as the flick draws first blood to be among the best of the year.

Who said that actors could be good at churning out scripts, despite having spent years polishing and revisiting them. Salman Khan does the unthinkable as he scripts a shocker where a boy from a nomadic alcohol-addicted tribe courts a rotund princess who's father has sold out to the British and has a golden arm! Those were actually the better parts, for what happens when the story shifts abroad isn't even worth writing.
