Max,
A thought provoking article for the most part,
Dont agree with a lot of things you've said but like you yourself so eloquently put it
'It’s all about faith and upto you to chose what you wish to believe.'

@Kannan,

Well said

---
me: I'm glad you see that part of it!

great post!!
and i believe ramayana was written to teach people how to live and mahabharatha was written to teach them how not to live!! don't know how far its true, though!

so where do we start now.. .
you have received all the bouquets.. congratulations..
now..hopefully as the conversation is imaginary, so is your message a mere hypothesis and not meant to be a fact.
"demolition of a mosque - without an iota of proof" - Sir, why don't you read up some history of the Babri Masjid demolition and build up to it or if you have, share the sources. It would be good for me to learn an alternate view.
" ....kar-sevaks chanted my name the Godhra carnage and its aftermath could be avoided. We never ask you to chant......."- Good those Sanghis had it coming in Godhra. Those barbaric women and children who got burnt had it coming. Why can they just not make any noise. I mean why should they go in a train chanting Jai shri Ram in a Muslim town. The mob which burnt the train was justified. I am sure.

Well and if Rama was a chauvinist, so are his followers, you should not expect anything better from his followers.

As for the commentators congratulating you and being afraid of the BJP and the Sangh Parivar, come out of your shells and smell the coffee.
And oh btw... before you guys jump in... with your "ignore the Sanghi", "Dont indugle him" and other comments, discuss the message not the messenger.
And yes, I do have a sense of humor, I have read many spoofs of the Ramayana/Mahabharata. I have laughed too. Just do not mix religious spoofs with politics. Makes for a bad mix.

---
me: I guess you didnt get the point of the post, and chose to pick on certain issues. It's ok to each his own. Hope you understand it someday!

Such finesse! Awesome! I hope someone from the Sangh Parivar is reading this. This time it had better get into their heads that Rama cannot be used as a pawn!
PS: Nice one on the Lakshmana and Surpanakha escapade!! :D

me: as long as it doesn't rub people the wrong way!

Oh yes, this is definitely your best post max! The underlying premise is superbly conveyed!

And I agree. Mahabharat is epic in every sense of the word. A potboiler and a masterpiece at that!
