The thing with cellphones in India is that they talk loud. Really Really loud! The other person can actually hear him without the phone! and oh the Ringtones, those jarring polyphonic ringtones! arghh!!! Renal sprays also happens on Transformers. In fact, the Govt has been using them as a Coolant!

I remember the tipping point for this juggernaut was when incoming became free, and that is when the mobile handset just burst on the scene for every teenager. After I had convinced my dad to get me a Nokia 3310, we met a friend of his who was buying a fancy phone for his son (who was younger than me, but evidently, a better salesman than I am). My latest goal is to get an iPhone by the end of the summer. Hopefully the apple conference can bring some new development, which is why I’d like to wait before I would purchase.

About the post, well, true that. There is a Call Auto service too after the Call Taxi service, with some per km rates etc. So it’s not only to flaunt MP3 players and bluetooth dongles but many have started small businesses with amazing ROIs.

heh, u know I’ve been meaning to write a post about cell phones in India since Ive gotten back! But yes, seriously, what’s with the cell phones in India, way too much no-good noise if u ask me.
