I have got three things to say about this post.
1. It is not completle till you include the mother of all quotes, oft parodied, most cliched, “Mere paas maa hain”. Now this is the immortal line you left out(on purpose, i believe =p), nevertheless good post. And lol at the pic, its from AAA, right?
2. I think its good to have a special day for mothers, not like an excuse to appreciate them but as a gratitude to their irreplacable love… ‘cos more often then not we are busy and tend to overlook these small things! And all the cards, phone calls, gifts, cooking for them, even though might not make up for anything, but still count, no?
3. Last point – you just have to draw lines between girls and boys here too. phew! *rolling eyes* (ref: momma’s boys). But, you are excused, you can never possibly understand the bond b/w moms and daughters. =)

Whenver i hear the word “Mother’s day” , this dialogue from Padamati sandhya raagam come to my mind and cracks me up ..” Mother’s day enti thadinnam laaga”.

When this movie was released, hardly anybosy in india knew that there existed a Mothers day.but thanks to the hype,its very popular now.

I was never much of a fan of these ‘days’, but I guess mothers need some special treatment; they are pretty damn special huh…Love the Pink Floyd song, funny how it is even more poignant now than when it was written!

aw, I teared up reading this. O okay, am a sucker and am a mom, so am excused right?

Someone said they didnt get a thing for mom’s day, for me, seeing my three run around the house healthy, happy and doing the best they are capable of, is a gift itself. No store bought anything can replace this.

ps: That doesn’t mean we don’t get them, but am just saying… :p

My mom called me and asked her to wish her and my mother in law a happy Mother’s day

Anyway – I could guess every mom and was immensely pleased I haven’t lost touch. But I loved TZP, showed a modern mother no? And ya, the Floyd reference was a nice touch

Did you forget Ba? Of KSBKBT fame? Come on!!
